Miriam Wasser is a Boston-based journalist and policy nerd who writes about politics, the environment, healthcare, law enforcement, and whatever else the news of the day requires. Before returning to Boston in 2017, she worked as a staff writer for the Phoenix New Times, splitting her time between covering breaking news and writing investigative magazine-style longform pieces.
Her work has also appeared in The Atlantic, Boston Magazine, Narratively, DigBoston, and The Big Roundtable.
Miriam holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism where she graduated co-valedictorian in 2014. She also holds a BA in Government and International Relations from Connecticut College.
